...... And it rained that night
Rain. Such a simple word, and yet carries so many different emotions along with it everywhere it goes. For most people it is a symbol of joy. Bringing love with every drop. Inducing a smile on a person of all ages with its tickle. My friend once told me ' Everything about the rain is enchanting'. Is it really though? I am not one of those people who love the beauty of those tiny diamonds trickling down, but one of those who would rather enjoy the sunshine than dance in the rain. That evil amethyst hue instantly poisoning the glee in the air taking control of everybody's lives. The beginning to every sappy love story
It was June 20th. My birthday, when he looked into my eyes and whispered the words i feared most. With utter devotion I echoed his voice. Interwoven into each other's lives, we were inseparable from that day on. Until now. It has been a month since he left me for her. How predictable isn't it? And then it rained that night. turning away whatever love I had left towards it to hate. His words replay in my head as the rain drops race down my window, mocking me about that night when my heart was shattered. I wish life was just simple science, no emotions involved and no hard feelings. It is because of him that I no more believe in love, because of him that i am stone cold today and because of him that this beautiful rain no longer pleases me.Rain is the ending to my sappy love story and I cannot possibly grow to concede it.
